Ca' Busca
Is an ancient villa in Gorgonzola actually in very poor condition. The competition required to rethink spaces, respecting the history of the building, in order to make them useful again for the city.
The proposed project brings the life of the inhabitants inside the structure, facilitating the meeting and concretely promoting culture by providing spaces and technologies.
We have identified six parts in the building, each with specific spatial characteristics. Six new functions allow different people to use and share resources.
The distribution reorganization allows the independent use of every different areas, creating in the single building different compartments that can interact with each other if necessary; this subdivision allows splitting both the intervention and the investment into autonomous and separate phases.
On the ground floor, in direct contact with the routes of the Naviglio Martesana, the park and the square, there are the receptive functions, suitable to become meeting points, while on the upper floor are collected the most static activities, which requires a separation from the main flow.
The entire building is considered as an unitary place that contains the community history, the relationship with the countryside and the meeting of ideas and thoughts.
